Rolling Girl

I love this song so much, there are so many great covers for it It touched me deeply.

There are many interpretations of the lyrics, most of them are thinking about self-injury....But I think this song is about something totally different.
I see it as a portrait of a girl who lost someone important or is simply having an illusional friend, portrayed as a boy. She's being bullied because she is so different and dreams a lot....and all she can do is desperately try to make her illusions come true - to make that illusional person by her side real....or figure out, how she can live normally....
In the end she's so hurt that the illusion itself gives her a last embrace and tells her that it will "stop breathing"- it will go away from her mind so she can live a normal life.
